So I finally made it up to Cypress lake above Port Moody.I just spent most of the day putting in new steering bearings and needed to go for a test ride and found myself doing this.
I tried once before when I first got this bike but chickened out on one of the really rocky sections and turned around.
I almost gave up this time as well but I stopped for a break and walked up ahead to see a break in the really rocky stuff and found the motivation to keep going.
I have ridden a bit at Mcnutt and found some pretty tough stuff there but this is more like trials tough, big rocks almost like a river bed full of boulders at some points.
There are some almost fsr easy parts but overall this is some of the hardest dualsport terrain I have faced.
I am still pretty new at this stuff and maybe with some more practice this stuff will get easier. That said I would not recommend this ride to v-stroms or even klr's.
However if you have the right bike and some experience this is a challenging ride that is pretty close to the city.
