I'm fitting my new fiberglass farings. In the process I had to remove and reinstall my frame sliders. Before I took the sliders off, I measured the amount of torque needed to remove them (50 ft/lbs).
It would seem that it was torqued too tight since before I could tighten them back to 50 ft/lbs, I hear a loud *CRACK*.
So I'm wondering how hard it is to take out the frame mount adjusters in order to re-tap the block?
Or on the other hand, would it be too risky to just carefully ride the bike without the one frame mount to a bike shop?
Final question: what torque is proper for these frame slider engine mount bolts?
