So just rode home from work and went to have a look at my chain because I know its done and just wanted to see if I could adjust it a little more before I put my new chain and sprockets on.
So I put my bike up on the rear stand and and adjust the chain.
When I think I have it right I drop it off the rear stand and go to put the stand away only to hear a sickening crunch....F#@$%CK!!
My bike fell against my wife's R1! F$^&#K!
Now I am less worried about my bike and more worried about hers.
But I can't get my bike upright due to the weird angle and am afraid to move anything luckily a neighbor pulls in and I get him to help.
I get the bike up and even though it never hit the ground it is pretty messed up.
Amazingly not a scratch on the wife's r1 that held it up, the seat hit her right foot peg and dug in ripping my seat but holding the bike up,my front left mirror hit her front disk smashing the mirror and bending the fairing stay which also smashed the windshield.
I have Beacon and have never had a claim so I figured I might as well get it fixed right and save myself the headaches of trying to get cheap parts from ebay and doing the labor.
Just a quick look on Bike Bandit looks like ay least $500-$600 us for new parts so I figure I will pay the deductible and just get it fixed.
I am usually careful to the point of being anal about making sure my stand is down before I drop it off the spools and have done it hundreds of times but today I guess I dropped the ball and now I going to pay.
I guess I should be glad it didn't hit the ground or worse knock her bike over.
