I set out around lunchtime today to complete one simple task. Outfit my teenage son with complete set of gear for his new trailbike.
- Helmet, Boots, Knee/Shin, Body Armour, Pants, Jersey, Gloves, Goggles and Kidney belt. I figured I was going to spend about $1000. I also wanted gear for my wife, which could have doubled the purchase.
Went to International Motorsports in Delta, since their online information had lots of items and good prices.
What a poor level of service that shop gave me. I was given a guy to help me start with helmets, he took off on me twice... a second guy came over that was not even able to understand what I was explaining. After finally fitting and selecting a helmet myself... I went for goggles, and was kinda pointed at the shelves. Then I'm standing, staring at boots. Nobody is helping me... nada. The first guy who helped me is awol.
Seriously, I wanted someone to help kit my kid out... not do a bunch of self serve shopping. I put the shit I had grabbed back, and walked out.
So pissed off, with no gear... I went to Holeshot in Langley. Normally known by me as being a bit spendy, but oh well... I wanted gear... and I wanted it today.
I found Teyler in the accessories department. She did everything for us, start to finish... incredibly good information and recommendations. I walked out of there with good quality products, having spent $700 after a very good package discount.
My wife was like "Wow, that was great service".
I got more service at holeshot in 10 seconds than the other place gave me in total.
Guess they didn't want my money. And the value I got at Holeshot was really quite suprising.
