Well, today in Sydney, it felt like spring had arrived. At a maximum of 17*C, the sun shining and the roads dry, it was the perfect opportunity to head out for a ride. I am ashamed to admit this, but it has been MONTHS since I've been for a proper ride. I mean, I ride almost every single day, to the shops, to friends houses or to work... but a ride just to ride? A ride with no destination, unlimited stops for photos, and unlimited speed limits (for there's a few straight clear sections where it's nice to let go when there's no po po around).
I can't believe it's been so long since I last went for a proper ride. I've missed it so much that I had a lump in my throat when I had to finish my ride this afternoon. Not because I had to keep going and I ended too soon, but because money is tight for me right now and it might be another 2 or more weeks before I get out again.
So, this is my map of todays ride:
Not bloody bad.
Basically, I live right near the beach in a place called Warriewood, and it's kind of amazing here, but a lot of the people are snobs, it's nicknamed the "White Supremacists District" and everyone is obsessed with THUGby (rubgy, afl, whatever can be played with the lemon shaped balls).
Beautiful area, some really not so nice people.
Anyways, so you can see the route - it's pretty incredible.
Now here's the link to all the photos...
