i got bored today and needed an emotional pick me up .so i took the TLR out
for an extended ride.I decided i will go to White Rock first. i get to the Alex Fraser
bridge south bound around 4 pm and the traffic is basicly parked. so i duck off
to the industrial complex at the north end of the bridge. there is a tim hortons/wendy's there. so i go in to burn off some time till the traffic disipates.
in the parking lot i see an unmarked police crown vic parked and they were sitting
in the timmies side having a coffee. the lady officer sees me coming in on the bike
and when i went into the restaurant she asks me if i thought it was too hot to ride
with all my gear on. i said its a little uncomfortable but its bearable. i then told
her that the air conditioning only seems to work in the winter and the heater only works in the summer. her partner is giving me an amused look and he is waiting to see what she says next. she looks out the window at the bike and says i should take it back to suzuki and get them to fix the air conditioning switch its obvious it's wired backwards. the partner now is doing his damndess not to laugh out loud at her and turns his head away then focuses his attention on a newspaper. i tell the officer that the warranty is long time expired and that switch is probably a chinese one that is wired right to left not left to right. She said to get an english switch for it then. now her partner is heading for the can unable to restrain his laughter.
i park myself at the other end of the restaurant untill the traffic thins out then continue on for an enjoyable ride
