Lots of bikes on the Duffey today, cruisers, sportsbikes, adventure touring, etc.
Was on the road by 6:00 this am, Lillooet and back by 15:30. Just under 600 km total.
I think next time I'm just going to turn around 60 km past Pemberton and forget about the part of the road that hasn't been repaved yet. What a contrast. Smooth sailing and enjoyment for the first 60 km, bone rattling jolts for the last 30 km to Lillooet.
The scenery does make up for a lot, though.
Overall, great day to be out and nice to see so many bikes out there.
Everyone was in a good mood, I chatted with a fellow on a Victory cruiser on his way to 100 Mile, couple of guys on Ducatis (in Lillooet no less, I thought they'd break down before they got that far or at least run out of gas).
Even the BMW adventure dudes were waving back!
Anyone else out there today?
