So this time it was last night on a crazy slanted alleyway in North Van. Came up the alley, slowed to stop uphill to make the downhill turn and when I started to make the right turn, the bike just dropped out from under me. Once it started falling, there was nothing I could do. It fell downhill (obviously) so once it fell it was essentially upside-down. I took a lot of cranks to get it to turn over and there's a lot of gas on my tank bag.
Two women saw me fall and stopped to help me, they lived right there and helped me get my bike to the flat boulevard in front of their house, then they had me in for a glass of pop and a calm-down.
I fucking hate dropping it. It's so embarrassing. The good news is that my frame sliders did exactly whet they're supposed to do and the damage is minimal... minor chip on the back fairing and a scratched mirror, turn signal and brake lever. Just my ego is bruised, AGAIN.
One is starts to go, is there any way to recover? I don't want this to happen anymore.
