wow that is very useful information
i didn't realize how few accidents happen outside of intersections
Why so few accidents shown on s2s up to Lillooet? Whatever the reason, this map indicates police should not even bother with motorcycles on the s2s. But regardless, the media should be fussing about where speed enforcement occurs and how it prevents accidents. Traffic enforcement seems to have the least amount of impact in higher speed areas to prevent likelihood of accidents. It seems congestion is most significant factor and the slower speeds. This indicates that speed is not the most significant factor in all motorcycle accidents. It would, therefore, seem it is rider/driver error due to poor judgement, distraction, lack of skill, inebriation. In order for police to actually make a difference to public safety, they must target these factors, not speed.
so pretty much everywhere around town is that what you're saying?
perfect... get the fack out of town then..
nothing surprising here...

So, somebody give me a serious answer as to why enforcement is nearly NEVER found at intersections with things like left turners, light runners, etc.....yet every down hill straight stretch in the province seems to have enforcement on a regular basis?
Don't tell me revenue for the province. Everyone and his mechanic already knows that.
Seems to me that this kind of data is the stuff that exactly proves the points that everyone on here is making lately about speed limits and crazy revenue collection etc....
Which dot on the map is Pee Wee?

My crash wasn't there! Is it weird I'm disappointed?
Read the fine print:
"locations are approximate and "snap" to the nearest intersection"
Still - the amount of enforcement/crash ratio is skewed for
some areas for sure....
How about a proportionate education/enforcement for the
areas where higher crash stats occur !
