    Kawasaki Ninja 300 for 2013?

Is the Ninja 250 being replaced by a 300 model, or is the Ninja 300 a new model added? Well, at least in the US anyways. Either way, the new Ninja 300 is fuel injected. With a claimed horsepower of 39 bhp in a 250 package (I hope so), me likey.

If this is the case then that would explain the dropped prices on the 250's now. This will be interesting to see...

The drop in prices is explained by me buying one. Immediately after I buy anything full retail there is either a price drop or a quantum improvement offered!

Weird. So they revamp the 250 for 2013, but introduce a new bike at the same time? Surely these niches are getting microscopic with 250, 300, 400

If the weight doesn't get too bad, the 250R is already porky, 39hp 300cc bike would be pretty cool.

For 2013, one speculation is that the 250 model may not make it to our shores. Instead, they will send over the 300, which is the same bike with a little larger engine displacement.

The 400 is altogether a different beast. It is based on the Ninja 650 (primarily sleeved down), which would be a bigger bike, and would have better freeway performance and comfort. It would also be less supersport looking, and weighs a 50 lbs+ more.

Below are not the actual models. But roughly, that is how they will differ.

The EPA spreadsheet contains no reference to the Ninja 250. I'm going with 300cc in the 2013 250 chassis, 400cc in the 2013 650 chassis.

Nice. With BC being the leader in bike owners per population in Canada and having ICBC's screwed engine size based insurance I'd love to see more smaller displacement fun bikes in Canada. Still waiting for this one:
