I'm in the market for a new jacket, and was wondering about speed humps and whether they provide additional protection?
I have one on my M2R jacket and it seems that in the event of a crash it would lessen the amount of whiplash to my neck by providing space between my back and the pavement.
I've read online that it's actually worse for crashing due to the fact it could catch on the ground and cause a tumble instead of smoothly sliding.
Anyone know what is fact or fiction? I'll be getting a back protector to add in to the jacket, but it seems like only the $600+ ones come with speed humps. My M2R is an oddity
