So, was out for a ride to Duffy Lake with a group of awesome people.....
Awesome roads getting there, fun was had by all, but
as with these stories there is always a but.
Heading back, a simple left hand turn - blinding sun in the face half way though it and by the time the eyes adjusted I ran too wide - gravel right in front of me.
So I went down, hand gets caught under the bike and dragged along for the ride, foot also gets pinned under dragging me along.
Damage at the end if the day? busted bike and, surprisingly enough just a nice friction burn on the left arm. Nothn' else!
Moral of the story? Be careful out there! Because even when you aren't pushing the limits, stuff can sneak up on you! Also, all the gear all the time!
P.S To the guys who were there and donated their shirt sleeves and a ride back, please PM me so I could thank you personally with a nice cool beverage of your choice! Or if you are not them, please let me know who they are on here!
