Every excuse put forth by industry is lame. Whether it's long weekend demand, Syria/Turkey mortaring each other, a WA state refinery with stalled production, or someone in Costa Rica stepped on a banana peel, it doesn't really matter. The bottom line is most people feel they have no alternative so they buck up and pay.
But the tax is 14cents per litre. Should that not make gas 14 cents per litre less expensive just outside the gvrd???
Don't get me started!!!
*i think the tax is actually 17 cents per litre!!

Gas cost 14c a liter, the other dollar something is the tax you ding dongs. Get that shit straight LOL
Once you get to Abbotsford the gas is always going to be cheaper, on a long weekend they jack it up because people do more driving on long weekend duh. Its the same on any holiday or if there is an major event. Gas in the valley is average is 1.23...last week it went down to 1.16 for a split second haha. It's still way too much but what'rya gonna do!
can't wait for gas to hit $2/L.
one can present all kinds of stats, green granola bullshit, but It's the only way to get people out of the cars. Money.
You think those oil patch kids making $80k a season buying $60K diesel 4x4's are all of a sudden gonna be shopping for Civics and Priuses? Think again. Large lifted little man syndrome trucks are here to stay and so is 10mpg regardless of engine inside of it. We are going to need something greater than a few dollars to pry us off gasoline. Electric vehicles are getting better, but not good enough yet, and way too expensive for the poor/middle classes.
Gas was 1.29 at garden city and Westminster last night. Needless to say there was huge lineup for people wanting to save $5 to $10 to fill up.
Cheaper for you guys to catch a ferry and fill up on the Island. Were 118.9 here !!
Mind you have to auction a kidney to ride the ferry now a days
I guess one good thing about living in Abby is Sumas is only a few minutes away. Gassed up other night at 4.29 a gallon which works out to 1.18 a litre if my math is correct. That was 92 octane gas as well not to mention grabbing a 6 pack for less then 10 bucks.
Any shift workers out there wanna ride during the week PM me.
