on sunday while taking the xena disc lock alarm off my bike to move it further out of the rain, the base of the lock actually broke off in my hand. That left me stuck feeling pretty uncomfortable about leaving the bike outside with only the chain lock. On a sunday, finding anyone open who had something in stock especially late afternoon was pretty unlikely.
I looked up disc lock alarms on craigslist and kijiji in the hopes of finding something available in town I could pick up and put on the bike asap, and found Bill's ad and even though it was a sunday I figured I'd take a chance and call him.
He answered and was at a trade show, but offered to meet me at his shop at 6:00 when he got back to unload and would sell me a lock then if I wanted.
I bought two, they're more solid (imo) than the xenas and at less than half the price. Just wanted to say thanks to Bill for helping me out and offering to meet someone he didn't know at the end of a long day when he didn't have to.
Cheers and thanks for the great service!
