I just came across this in a YouTube browse session, there is some serious riding here.
It's the entire race, 42:33 in length so grab your popcorn and enjoy.
That was awesome!
DON'T STUFF THE CAGERS!
Amazing what they find their way over, around, up and down, the amount of advil consumed must be epic. You can't beat your body that hard without paying a price.
What you are We once were---What we are You will be, Voices of the dead.
I loved every minute of it.
"Aw fuck what the hell have I done!!!! Fuck me that's going to be hell hard to keep on top of wtf is going on!!!"
The face of sport has changed over the past decade. Team sports out, individual 'go-pro' sports are in.
"Every time Catherine would rev up the microwave I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for fifteen minutes" - Cousin Eddie
I want a dirt bike.
Wow, very cool, total hardcores.
That's the Erzberg rodeo... every year, same place. You need grande huevos to finish that one, amateurs can enter....
ah.. ya...i used to ride 'hare scrambles'..... ah..... sort of...
I'll bet more than 2% go to the hospital... Quite a licking to put on your bike
That would be amazing to watch live, what a beating those bikes and riders take. Only 7 official finishers out of 500!
The skill required to just tackle the course is just stunning. Dougie Lampkin, multi time FIM World Trials Champion, Graham Jarvis, FIM World Round competitor and top finisher. Both victors in the Scottish 6 days trial. The video doesn't do it justice... what these guys are doing is just jaw dropping in the technical end of things. You couldn't walk up that shit, let alone ride a bike up some of it.
It's interesting that Lampkin is riding a Gas Gas, when his father is the importer of the Beta brand of bikes, who also make enduro models... so obviously he's getting paid some serious bucks to ride GG.

Long Live Shervin Of The North!
I just watched this and it convinced me to go put a plate on my dual sport and go get dirty tomorrow.
