As I am set on buying a supermoto as a second bike, I have put countless hours off work and school in research of what I will be purchasing this winter. So I've narrowed it down to the Suzuki DRZ-400sm, and the Yamaha WR250x. Somewhat typical lol.
I like the Suzuki for the huge market of used bikes/parts, more torque/hp, 87 octane gas, and better mileage/range.
I like the Yamaha for the weight savings, 6th gear, fuel injection and that I can race alongside the ninja/cbr 250s at WMRC(no points though).
I was very set on the DRZ but the WRX does seem like a more modern design. I'm not sure on the suspension or brakes of both bikes, or how it really performs in Metro Vancouver. I don't plan on doing any touring; this bike will be mostly for urban exploring and some light off-road ventures.
A few nights ago I had a dream about popping clutch wheelies on a sumo. I think I have a problem and I need your help.
So can anyone can shed some light on the WRX and how it stacks up against the DRZ?
