I have a FSP Group Blue Storm II 500W ATX 2.2 SLI Ready Active PFC Power Supply and it has failed.
At least I think it's the power supply that's failed, because when I push the power button on the PC case, everything starts up for about a second, than shuts down, then starts up for about a second, then shuts down etc.
I figure the power supply died because I have an ASUS PK5 MOBO running an Intel Dual Core processor, plus six hard drives, plus two optical drives, plus one floppy drive and thus the overall current draw was too much for the 500W power supply to reliably deliver.
The case size is 18 inches high, 8 inches wide and 20 inches deep so it's a good size I guess.
What would be a good sized power supply that will run everything, easily fit in there, is reasonably priced and reliable?
Could it possibly be the ASUS PK5 MOBO and not the power supply?
I am kind-of an NCIX fan so if you have a suggestion from their website, that would be great (assuming you feel it's the power supply).
Cheers and have a great long weekend!
