As part of my rehab for my accident in September, my physio has recommended IMS treatments (intra-muscular stimulation). I had my first IMS treatment today about an hour ago, and it was an interesting experience.
Basically it's like acupuncture only much deeper - my physio said the needles were going in 4-5 cm, and I had them all up and down my spine/neck and across my shoulders. My muscles were spasming like crazy, which apparently means it's working.
Anyone else had these treatments done? Any thoughts on the results from it? I feel pretty beat upright now, an hour after my first IMS treatment. Curious to see how it helps out once the soreness subsides though.
