when i'm in my cage (car or truck) i always have some tunes going and what's playing varies anywhere between rock, alt-rock, electronica and sometimes pop. the music is typically higher energy most of the time unless i purposely feel like something mellow.
however, the last few days i've made a point of putting the radio on cbc and listening to classical as I drive around. i found i tend to drive closer to the speed limit, am more aware of my surroundings and hardly bothered by the idiot manoeuvres happening around me. all in all a more pleasant driving experience.
on the bike though i don't ride with headphones b/c i want to be able to hear what's going on around me and feel that high energy music is more likely to make me want to amp up my riding which is not usually a good idea on city streets. so for the guys that do ride with music any experience with having some classical tunes going on in the background? do you think it affects your riding at all?
