My wife is not a big cell phone user (and I very rarely use one). At present she is using a simple, older Nokia as provided by 7-11 SpeakOut.
She received a $140 ticket for using her cell phone while driving, and so I wish to upgrade her cell phone usage to enable hands-free operation via Bluetooth (I guess that would be best).
Can I take easily take my wife's SIM card from the older Nokia as provided by 7-11 SpeakOut and place it in a new phone with ease?
Also, if I simply wish to purchase a new unlocked phone for her (that has Bluetooth) can I easily accomplish this at moderate cost without buying a contract from the new cell phone provider?
I see that 7-11 SpeakOut also has SIM cards for sale, so I suppose I could go that route with her, but I am not sure if she could then keep her existing phone number, and in any case she still has a fair amount of credits on her existing older Nokia as provided by 7-11 SpeakOut.
I usually make my tech purchases through NCIX, so if y'all have suggestions on a decent unlocked phone that will easily accept her existing SIM card and well as suggestions on a good Bluetooth headset please let me know!
She does not need a higher-end Smartphone with GPS etc as her requirements are modest, although a good camera and the ability to deliver those pictures via USB or some other simple manner would be nice (as well as Bluetooth of course)!
Cheers and Happy Holidays to all!
