In 2012 I had such a blast Mini “racing” on a CRF150 with PCMRC in Chilliwack. So I decided to put together a more track oriented set of wheels for 2013 season.
A few months ago I bought a YSR80 rolling chassis with a plan to transplant my CBR125R motor. After attempting a bench fit-up it became apparent that major surgery would be needed on the frame, for the project to proceed. Given the amount of effort involved I decided to go for a more suitable (larger) chassis instead.
The YSR chassis is for sale ($300 to anyone interested) and I’m still looking for a RS or TZ125 setup.
In the meantime I’ve just picked up Cagiva Mito frame online. Hopefully it will fit the bill.
Online shopping is, for me, like fishing. You know what you're after. You spend some time trawling the web for a bite. Having hooked it (made purchase) you have an excited expectant wait while you bring it to the surface (shipping). You get it in the net (collection) and land it in the boat (open packages) to discover if you really caught what you wanted. Relief or disappointment? I made my first Internet purchase in 2001 and have seldom been unhappy with the results since.
So some stuff arrived today.
Excitement level increases..
Take a quick gander before getting back to work..
Hey! Cagiva was part of MY Agusta! Cool. It's now officially an MV project track bike
I’ll post up with the ongoing build for anyone that’s interested.
The frame was built In Italy. Initially sold in Germany. Bought and imported by a guy in Manitoba, where it was fitted with a 610 Husky. He sold me the frame last week.
