I don't ride, but I do speed and this forum seemed the most active with advice on ICBC prohibition notices!
I received an intent to prohibit notice (first one ever) 4 days ago after getting a 70 in a 50 ticket on Dec 14 and a 112 in a 50 excessive ticket on Jan 2nd (7:30am Sunday morning exiting downhill onto Knight Street bridge). I'm a class 7N, but I'm eligible for my class 5 (I've had my licence for 10 years with no prior moving violations)
I got a probation notice that was sent out after the first ticket, but I didn't receive it until after the second ticket (the tickets were 2 weeks apart over Christmas). So I didn't know I was on probation when I got pinched for excessive speed.
The interesting part is that I just booked my class 5 road test for tomorrow (I'm still well within the 21 days to send my submission letter). Is getting my class 5 before the prohibition plays out going to work? Will it benefit me?
I'll be sending a letter stating that I have to drive for work, as I use a company truck and carry lots of tools. Any other suggestions from the vets here? Thanks.
