After some off and on months (about six) of searching, false leads, back outs and being "picky", I finally made a deal to trade my '03 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 for a sport bike.
Deal was made possible thanks to a fellow lurker on this forum. The bike in question isn't any thing unique, special or really out of the ordinary for most of you but, this will be my first sport bike.
'01 CBR600F4i with 37k km. It does have a rebuilt status which seemed virtually impossible to avoid and, that prospect does make me nervous but, the bike seems to ride fine, shifts properly and there's no real discernible issues.
One of the wires is a bit iffy under the seat, and the right side fairing needs some washers to make things seat better but, aside from that it seems good.
It contains a few aftermarket/customized bits, ie: integrated turn signals, rear fender/license plate holder has been chopped - all things I would've had done myself had it come otherwise. I was pleased to see it has frame sliders, looks to be an aftermarket or at least tinted windscreen and, I'm really not sure what slip on exhaust it has as the plate has been removed.
Here's the part you likely came in for though..photos.
I'm a sucker for a blacked out bike, and the perceivably cheesy spikes on the front I gravitated towards.
While I've only ridden one other sport bike (GPX 750R, Euro spec), and sat on a variety of bikes at the stealerships, I was a little surprised at how the F4i has a slightly more standard leg and foot position, which was a bit expected as I read these bikes are a little more relaxed in that respect.
