Okay, so I get a hearing notice to appear about a small little infraction, that worked into a ticket for around the 600+ dollar amount. This is after I put in for a dispute the ticket thing, cause that is what the boss told me to do, and no, the cheap SOB doesn't pay tickets for equipment malfuction, even though its his truck I'm driving. Anyhow, long story short, I got a form that says to put down an excuse why I would like the ticket reduced, and since I'm a cheaper SOB than the boss man, and am the one the ticket was addressed to, I figure my best bet is to ask for a reduction of fine.
Has anyone ever tried this with any success?
What are some good excuses?
And for your information, the hearing is a couple hour drive north to Kamloops, and I probably could beat the ticket, but from my past dealings with Kangaroo traffic courts, and me being little educated in the fine language that they have come to recognise in their dealings with such low life's as truck drivers. And to ensure that they do not inflame a already hatred for fine haired SOB's that would best suit a bullet between the eye's then fueled upon with gasoline, and then put out with a liberal amount of urine.
I find myself at a bit of a pinch in the mind of why they don't deserve the full amount.
