I had a retailer put up a sign that said he refuses to take pennies as part of the transaction. Lucky for me, the total came out to 4.75, so I paid in twoonies and 3 quarters. But what if it came out to 4.76? I couldn't pay with two twoonies, 3 quarters and a penny? I'd have to give him a nickel and then what type of change would I get back? 4 pennies? If he won't accept pennies, then neither should I. Either that, or round down the transaction to 4.75.
what say you peeps?
