Since i dont have Facebook (anymore) i thought i'd put this out there and see where everyone else stands on this topic.
I had my eyes done with PRK (no touch) last tuesday at Coal Harbor Eye Centre, which set me back $1800 minus $1000 that my benefits cover. Why did i do it? Because i got sick and tired of not being able to go diving without a mask, hanging out at Playland on the crazy rides without my contacts flying out or opening my visor even the slightest bit to have my contacts rip out with the smallest gust of wind.
So far, my experience is quite frustrating. The first 3 days were definitely quite uncomfortable as i had to use numbing drops every few hours due to pain and discomfort. I had my protective lenses removed yesterday and i'm finding my eyes are scratchy, dry and being at the office at work makes it really difficult with florescent lighting beaming just above my head.
Have you thought about getting it done or have you already done it? If so, how was your experience?
