Depending on the weather I'm planning on doing the Duffey Lake Loop next Wednesday, coming back to Vancouver from the East round about route according to Byron's helpful map at:
I live close to Boundary/Kingsway and will leave around 09:00am at the latest. I will stop first for some gas at Chevron on Boundary Rd. just south of Grandview Hwy.
This my 3rd season of riding, but I still consider myself a newbie as I didn't do a whole lot of riding last year due to a minor crash and my workload at my 2 jobs. I just finished taking the ART course through the BC Safety council this past weekend and it has really improved my confidence and brushed up my skills.
If anyone's interested in joining me on that day, just give me a shout. This will be the longest ride I have ever done so I'm estimating it will take about 8-10 hours including 3 gas stops and a 1 hour lunch break? I won't be going super fast as I'm not really familiar with the roads past Squamish so I'll be taking it easy.
BTW, I'm relatively new to this board. I'm currently a SFU Business student in the middle of my 3rd year of business studies. I lifeguard part-time and will be taking 2 courses at school in the summer along with one on-line programming course at BCIT. I like swimming and biking, and plan on doing 2 or triathlons during the summer.
