    Arrow Riding in Palm Desert

Just to let you know, that the riding has been great down here - fast speed limits, not many popo - tons of open desert to get your straight line speed fixes - up and down dips in the road do elevate, so be careful out there gents - where is everybody? succas....!!!

Oh my, the hidden roadways for the motorcyclist. Best get a map, head southwest up the hill on Hwy 74 [Pines to Palms Highway] which will get you to 371 I think. Anyways, it's a full day ride circling towards Boreggo Springs, which gets you to the western shores of Salton Sea. Then up the valley back to Pam Springs. Good ride. I ground the shite out of the floorboards of a 2012 Electraglide.

Damn Pat, I'm so f'ing jealous right now! Chuckwalla is on my todo list! 5 or 6 more years until I can be semi-retired and living the track life...*sigh*

ahhhhhhh.... I am not actually there.

I was just trying to "one-up" Woodman cause he was rubbing our noses in it. Busy winter for me so no tracktime till March or April.

"Whistle" however WILL be down in SoCal next week tearing up the track... lucky dog!

A group of us (5) are going to Phoenix at the end of March, renting bikes and going riding for a few days. I've just been told that we have to have an International Driver's license to ride/drive in Arizona......Can anyone confirm that?

Not sure about right now, but 7 or 8 years ago I was frequently in Phoenix and rented cars all the time with my BC license.

Just did a bit of googling.....it looks like some bike/car rental companies in Arizona may require an International Driver's License from Canadians. I'll get one anyway, I think, just in case.

Must be some new insurance based requirement - saw
the IDL requirement at some of the smaller LA rental
    locations as well.

I have never considered taking an IDL for just riding
    or driving (no renting)...
Live each day like it is your last,
like you will never get another chance...

One day it will be, and you will not.

Now is the time to do Chuckwalla that's for sure!

We will start our Tour de America on March 1st. Planning to be in the LA area on the 2nd. Where are you going to be at that time, may be we can hook up for a bottle of red.

We are likely doing Streets on March 2-3 and are planning on heading in the vicinity of Santa Monica March 4-5 to ride low elevation stuff. Looks like the weather will be cooler than average, so red wine sounds really good!
