I got all of my gear (other then gloves which should come in April) and was wondering what is the best way of breaking in leather jacket/pants and leather boots? I am not riding (dont have bike yet) but would want to break it in as much as possible so that once bike comes, 2 piece and boots would be mostly broken in. I sit/stand up from the couch, walk around, squat around the house, but anything else I should be doing to break it in.
When it comes to care and protection. Would you recommend any sort of spray or cream, etc, that I should apply before I take the gear out 1st time. Also any way to make gear a bit more water repellent? I know there is no way to waterproof it, but some sort of repellent in case I am caught in unexpected rain would be nice. I plan on having some sort of rain gear that I can just throw over the 2 piece, but if I am 5 minutes away from my destination, I dont think it would make sense to pull over and put it on.
in case anyone is wondering this is the gear that I got
jacket: Teknic Violator jacket (2011 model)
pants: Teknic Chicane leather pants (2013 model made of cowhide and not goatskin like previous models)
boots: A* S-MX5
lid: Scorpion EXO-1100
gloves: Held Evo Thrux (waiting for Marbod from Mspeed to get one size lower in april so that I can pick better fitting between the 2 sizes)
