Ok I have had just about enough of these tree hugging granola eating save the endangered short haired vole people.
Just reading some crap about how a bunch of old women in Lions Bay are upset about a gravel pit a full15.5km across the other side of Howe sound and how it is going to be an environmental disaster not to mention sully their pristine view (on a clear day maybe??).
To put this into perspective this is like someone living by Kits beach complaining about someone logging on Bowen Island because it may affect their view.
It must be nice to be retired and have nothing to do but complain about stuff, especially when you don't have to worry about making a living in this province.
But really they don't want us to cut down trees to build houses and now we are not supposed to use cement?
I swear if these people had their way we would all be living in caves eating roots and berry's.
Well maybe for a couple of weeks until they realized toilet paper comes from trees.
I can't get over the hypocrisy of people who live in their giant houses driving their Mercedes living in a community blasted out of the side of the rocks accessed by a road that used millions of tons of gravel to build complaining about someone making more rocks.
I mean someone needs to save the endangered Howe Sound gravel right?
Don't get me wrong I think some of the things going on in the name of power and greed are just wrong like the run of river projects but we need some kind of balance between these over the top environmentalists that would have us never kill another creature or cut down another tree vs the corporations that would turn the planet into an open pit mine without someone stopping them.
If nobody had ever told these people it was going on they would never know,I bet if someone went and took pictures of the clear cuts on Blue Mountain in Maple ridge most Vancouverites would be shocked and our dirt bike trails would be over run with bongo drumming deadlock kids.
I just got back from a country where pregnant mothers are begging for soap and they have oil rigs on the beach 50 feet from the ocean.
Nothing pisses me off more than rich people complaining about being put out by the working class, because they are bored and have nothing else to do.
end rant...for now.
