After several weeks of searching I stumbled upon a beauty yesterday afternoon. Went and took a look, and fell in love. Everything checked out, and I ended up getting my 1st bike. It is 07 CBR600RR
Here is a pic
I know its not beginner bike, but I will be careful, and take my sweet ass time learning how to ride it. And one more thing to add. As someone once said, I am too addicted to this thing called breathing, so I would not even think about doing something so stupid. I will leave that to others
I ended up buying 04 SV650 that I talked about in the long ass thread in new rider forums. Took it to EMS today, Bill checked it out, said it was in great condition, and only 3 things were wrong with it. Needed new tires as the ones on it are original tires (10 years old) battery was toast (original battery most likely as well) and rear brake needs a rebuild kit. He tried to bleed it but it didnt help. Brake works, but foot pedal goes all the way down before brake is engaged. He said that is to be expected from 10 year old bike and fix should be quick and cheap.
Lowered the price by $200 and ended up paying $3300 for it. Bike has 9200K on it. Bill said that was a really good price for a bike with very few problems and engine that isnt even broken in yet.
Bought Shorai battery from Edmonds Batteries earlier today. Need to look into brake and tires next.
Has some extras (Corbin seat, belly pan, F-16 windshield, frame sliders and soft saddle bags)
Here are some pics.
Did my refresher with PRS today. Parking lot was good. I need to book downtown ride next, and once that is done, I will be riding around parking lots and quiet streets (a bit hard to find in dt)
Thanks everyone for help and guidance. Much appreciate it! Looking forward to great season of riding and pestering you with many questions
