So in my previous thread I didn't really review my gear. We will start at the feet and work upwards.
Now for helmet I am bringing a tinted visor. Now I know what all you nosey nancies are thinking. "But stonecold it will be dark by 800pm". Yeah well I like to draw attention to myself while remaining anonymous... It's the BCSB way.
As Malamikigo will fill in the route is long and twisty. Unfortunately my bike has no tach, so I only shift out of first after bouncing off the rev limiter.
Now I wanted to post a pic of my drink but the bitch got my name wrong. I went for a bar drink because the only thing I like filtered are my photos.
Lucky I had a pen which I use for tagging.
It's important when going on a ride to choose the right gear. Safety is of utmost importance. Obviously a helmet is mandatory, but to make sure to protect myself fully, I also wore leather gloves, full gauntlet.
You can tell that you are an advanced and experienced rider when you start your bike up and the signal is still running from the last time you were riding. You know you have really made your intentions known.
We headed off and road conditions were pretty good. Dry and light though the sun was setting. Here's a shot of one of the 1st gear sweepers we encountered:
Finally, we arrived! We parked the bikes near the front so that everyone could see how awesome our rides are, and revved the piss out of the engines as we backed up against the curb.
It was an arduous trek, but we made it.
We also made sure to select a seat near the entrance and put our helmets out on the table so everyone knows we're the ones with the bikes.
All in all it was a really good ride. Highly recommended.
Also, fyi we'll be doing this ride bi-monthly, on the first Monday each time, if anyone wants to join.
That looks like a fantastic ride. You guys must have been beat by the time you got to Starbucks. Hot chocolate must have just hit the spot.
I hope to god there's a MC Tag round for trucking your bike to a Starbucks. Tell me that wouldn't be friggin awesome.
Yea, we left the truck behind this time. Really wanted to shake the cobwebs off and log some miles, you know?
If I put 10 more miles on my bike it's going to be over the hill. Shagged, kaput, finished.
Thank god the speedo isn't working.
I don't think many people will be willing to square off a set of tires on a ride like this, even if they are newbs.
Excellent report guys, thanks, rep going your way! Those are some wicked corners
I'm not addicted! and I'm not quitting!!
Heeere's your sign...
...and "always" look on the bright side of life...
