I think my bike is due for a tune-up, since it's been a year and 10000km since my last service (at the dealer).
Two weeks ago I took off the rear wheel + swingarm to clean up down there. Everything seems fine in that area, and getting rid of shitloads of crap near the sprocket accumulated over the winter seems to have brought vibration issues. (Or something, not sure yet)
I have to diagnose a cooling problem as well.
Anyways, I could go to the dealer and have some stuff done, or I could do it myself. I have the time, I think, the intelligence, and the manual, but not the knowledge. I'm pretty new. It would take the dealer maybe 1/4 of the time it would take me. Also, it would be done at my parent's place and my dad helps out, even if I don't really want him to. Sometimes this shit is hard physically and I don't want to stress him.
So, should I do it myself, or get it done at the dealer? Or is there someone else you might recommmend for such service?
Things I would be doing:
Air filter cleaning/replacement
Carb sync + idle
Testing fan + fan switch
Oil and coolant change
+ inspect everything as it comes off or I have access to it.
