So this is from the Oatmeal, which linked me to Audiolab's podcast on colour that I listened to this morning.
Really interesting stuff. Including some studies where they gave colour (red) back to chimps with colour blindness.

I'm sticking with the three-toed sloth. Any animal that is so lazy that moss grows on it is alright by me.

Pistol shrimp has different size claws (one is quite a bit larger then the other) and one of them is a snapper. They often live with gobies in same burrows and form symbiotic relationship with one another.
Mantis shrimp is a pure predator that will eat fish (including gobies) They are amazing animals though...unless one comes as unexpected hitchhiker inside your saltwater aquarium without you knowing. Then they are a pain in the ass that I wish never existed! (ask me how I know)

I had white live rock and black sand - so it gave it away where the little bastard was hiding - did a dip in freshwater with that piece of LR - and turns out - 1" 1/2 long little cream colored killing machine was hiding in there!
Wow I had no idea these existed. They're complete assholes!
