I had an epiphany while riding last few days around town. I always make a point of covering front brake lever with 2 fingers while riding. It almost feels weird when i dont do it, and I find it more comfortable like that.
What I found is that when i do this, I rarely end up using rear brake. My right foot is always on the foot peg, balls of the feet, and I never have rear covered (it may be because I am subconsciously worried that I will engage it by accident). 1st day i was scooting around, I realized I only used front, 100% of the time. Next day I made a point of using rear more, but even then majority was front only. Most of the time I used rear is if I have to make a bit faster stop, and that was because I have new tires on, so I do not want to overload front brake.
I dont think this is as big of a deal as if it was reversed (I used strictly rear) but wanted to get input from more experienced riders and what are some of the ways of breaking this habit.
