Age old problem no doubt but, I'm wondering if you guys can maybe shed some useful advice in this department.
I did a 325km trip today (with a passenger, first time) and goddamn are my hands sore. Even hours later my pinky and ring finger on my left hand is a bit numb at the tips, it sort of has that tingling, defrost feeling and my right hand is just weak.
A lot of this I'll attribute to having slightly extra weight behind me (great passenger, very experienced and knew the do's and don't's). As far as the left hand thing goes, I know my clutch lever needs adjusting as it's stiff as all hell, and I may also just need new grips in general that are a bit more comfy..so I may have answered my own question here but, in general I feel a lot more sore riding the CBR than I ever did when I had my cruiser, and I've ridden further in the past.
Perhaps I'm just out of shape? I'm a pretty slim dude but not an active person..I figured I'd give riding a sport bike a go while I was still relatively young but, as much as I love this riding style I am starting to question if it's for me..or perhaps it's my bike, the bloody seat on this thing is like riding on a 2x4 - yes, need to get a gel pad insert but it's my hands that concern me the most.
