often i find myself wondering what the next big breakthrough will be in regards to mass amounts of energy that our ever growing population demands. in only the past few hundred years has mankind really started to utilize on a massive scale sources of energy to do work/make life easier. i'm always amused at the way we implement these energy sources as well. for me, it seems like energy uses have come down to only one sex coming up with ideas that have stuck/been listened to. is it me, or are most machines/engines/motors very basic and run on basic ideas. i can't help the freudian aspect of the operation of many of these machines, it always seems like there's a piston reciprocating in a bore for the most part, or some other motion that comes naturally from a man's mind. what i'm getting at is the thought that women may have brilliant ideas on new engine technology/electrical/hydraulic etc that haven't been realized as it's been traditionally a man's world. we have only touched the surface, literally, on what this universe can provide us given we allow ourselves the ability to think outside the box, and think outside of our natural tendencies. for me personally, i think many great ideas have been kept under lock and key due to them being non profitable and actually having the capacity to take down industries. i'm thinking solar/magnetic/electrical will be the way of the future, but i also think this technology exists today but we haven't been allowed access to it. i've seen some brilliant stuff just googling "perpetual motion machine" and the like. what this world needs is a solution to the dirty energy we have become so accustomed to.
