Looking to meet new friends / riders!

    Hi there,

My name is Brock and I just recently got my license / first bike. I currently own and drive a Ninja ZX6R 636 and absolutely love it. I took a course through Pacific Riding School and did quite well, excelling through the course and now currently on the road.

I have to be honest, I don't know too much about bikes, other than riding them. I grew up with cars and professionally drove for BMW back in 05 and 06.

I've always wanted to ride and now finally did it. I'm ready to take my experience to the next level and would love to meet new people and make some riding friends. I currently ride alone and do not know anyone who rides.

If there's anyone out there, male or female who would like to make a new friend and go on some rides, please feel free to message me!

    Sincerely,

    Brock

My advice would be to stay away from big group rides.

    First off WELCOME

Second, contrary to the above opinions on group rides, I would say that
it's actually an excellent way to meet other riders, and sometimes try some
    new roads.

If you go on a group ride with a level head, and are somewhat mature, you
can quite easily have a very safe and enjoyable time. If you're a social person,
which I assume by your post, you are, this is a solid option.

Group riding experience, gained from many rides posted on this site over the years,
has benefited with both useful experience as well as some great friendships.

    Results may vary

You should note Brock that bcsb uses the "hang loose" as its wave, would be the closest emocon to that, for some reason you get the as a welcome.

Do not be discouraged, great bunch here for the most part.

    Welcome

FYI on the road once a few ppl on the board recognize you they may switch to the one-finger wave. Or maybe that's just for me...

Welcome to BCSB! Glad to hear you went though PRS, great school. I took their course back in 2005. As for meeting new riders, be sure and follow the threads under "I'm going for a ride, you comin'?".
