Not sure if this has been asked before, but I've always been curious about it.
A sport bike vs a sports car (eg. a 10-yr old Porsche 911) down a windy road on which neither driver is familiar with - who is faster? Assuming "average" riding / driving skills and dry condition.
It would seem to me that anyone can throw a car into a curve and drive reasonably fast - especially with ABS and traction control to help out. Most cars are designed to understeer at the limit leaving plenty of warning. But it would take a highly skilled rider knee dragging all the way and probably still won't match the sports car?
