Laid the bike down today. Good news is it was from a stand still. Was riding to get the tag earlier today in the boat launch area, and when i got there, parking was down slope and banked to the left side. I stopped the bike, turned it off and had bike leaned over to the right to counteract the left side lean of the parking lot. My right foot was down holding the bike.
As I lifted my left foot to put down the side stand, I guess I disrupted my center of gravity and bike started leaning to the left. Put my foot out to try and stop it from going down, but gravity took over and down it went.
Bike fell on my leg/foot, but that didnt do anything at all. Boots did their job. Knee sliders on left got a bit scraped up, so I guess I can say I put my knee down now haha.
Bike wise, minimal damage. Framesliders did their job. Bar end mirror has a bit of a scrape, but thats all. Really survived well for cheapo ebay item. It fell out so I jammed it back in as much as I could, but was worried it would fall out somewhere during my ride home. It didn't, so thats good. Shift foot peg is bent, and shift linkage rod is bent too, but both are usable. I rode from North Van to DT without problems.
Once I came home, i parked the bike and then checked it out after 30 min. No leaks of any sort or any other damage. Was still in bit of a shock that it happened, so I did what I thought would be best. Jumped on the bike and went for few hours of riding. After that I felt fine and wasnt really worried it will happen again.
I guess I got my 1 down that everyone gets sooner or later. Now that I got it out if the way I should be good for the rest of my riding career and keep the bike up :P
