I've been trying to procure some assistance on a CBR forum but, thus far they haven't been all that helpful, figured maybe you guys might be able to help.
Long story short, the fuel pump doesn't seem to be engaging when I turn off the kill switch, instead I am greeted with the FI light flashing me a code..which claims it's #1 fuel injector being faulty or blocked, sounds simple enough right? Excuse my ignorance but, is that a common reaction for the fuel pump not to engage when one fuel injector is acting up?
Naturally, I'm starting to think the fuel pump itself is gone or, it has something to do with the ECM since these things seem to be notorious for a pink wire being whacky..which one of mine is indeed, and even after trying to rethread it into the ECM connector it doesn't seem to make a difference. PO did warn me that he had issues getting the bike to start due to said wire but, it's been fine since and, I've had said wire looked at since then..never had a problem until a few days ago.
There are more symptoms leading up to this and, a couple occurrences prior before the bike refused to prime. At the time being it won't run due to the fuel pump not engaging..thoroughly disappointed and pissed off with this thing.
