Looking for help on a minor problem which happens to be a huge pain in my ass.
I put together a 04 ZX6R last year. It took alot of blood, sweat and tears but now that it's done, I try and keep it clean. One of the many things I did was puting on a D.I.D 520 gold chain. Here's my problem:
I took off the chain cover because I want to see the chain, but the f'n thing keeps slinging grease everywhere. I clean the chain with karacene (totally did NOT spell that right) pretty often and re-lube. This bike for me is all about looks as I've been riding for 12 years now, read the books, spent my time on the track, draggin' knees and now have a family and just want to slow down and look good! My question is how can I reduce the fling, and how do I clean it off? I've tried degreaser but I still have to use a lot of elbow grease (pardon the pun) and have thought about useing the karacene but am worried about the paint, which also took alot of time and money to do. I realize I could just put the chain cover back on but I'm not going to. Any help on this subject would be great, thanks.
Oh, I use Motul street bike lube
