Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of getting motorcycle parts (of a bike that was originally one piece) and putting it together here and getting a BC VIN and being able to register it?
From the ICBC site:Does ICBC care if the frame and engine come from the same vehicle (for a bill of sale/registration)? What about inspection, Canadian Tire?Registration requirements for your ubilt vehicle or trailer
To qualify for registration, the vehicle must meet equipment standards set out in B.C.’s Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.
Original support documents for component parts
For all ubilt vehicles and trailers, you must provide original support documents for each major component part (PDF).
Typical support documents include a bill of sale, manufacturer's statement of origin or a vehicle registration number. If you don't have support documents, you must sign a statutory declaration instead.
I have no problem with the aspect that I won't have a factory warranty, and availability of parts doesn't scare me. This is for a bike not available in North America.
Any help is appreciated.
