hopefully you killed the engine before it seized up. I heard they take about a hour to replace if its your first time. Thread lock it!!
Whats this about counter shaft seal I have same bike in black,so what happened?
Time for a big bore kit? Or a new engine?
RIP Distanzias I love those tires .
The sprocket has movement on the splines. you need to remove the 30mm nut, washer, sprocket and spacer. clean the spindle. put 4 drops of loctite where the sprocket sits on the shaft. the Nut doesn't need any loctite.
the loctite is for sealing up the movement that the sprocket has on the shaft. you have to wait 8 hours or over night for the loctite to cure. torque the the nut to 105ftlbs and bend the flat washer and good to go.
I am inspecting mine this weekend. if you want I can show you. very simple.
Actually I'm very lucky cuz we just finished west side road (kelowna) and I had to go pee so we pulled over. Bike was running like butter no signs Of any problems whatsoever. When I stopped and got off I noticed the puddle and then something dripping. I touched it and right away knew it was oil it wasn't till then when I noticed the whole bike covered in oil. U can see where it started leak just as I puled over. It pretty much took 100 or so yards. Think all oil is gone. At first I thought Lost my drain plug but both the main and the frame one are still on. There was no indication of any trouble. No sounds or other. I'm just hoping its some kind of seal that blew not something serious. I looked underneath and can't tell where the leak originated as everything is covered in oil. Funny cuz few min earlier I happened to glance at my ODO and seeing close to 56K km thought I should take picture of it lol.
