Back from a quick tour of the north-west states, where as we all know, the posted speeds, police attitude, cage driving attitude, and general vehicle operation competance is frickin' tenfold higher level than hear. Spent a bunch of time over 130km/hr with 0% worry of speed tax payment,,,heck, highways there are mostly 75mph, and unless you are doing over 140kms/hr, you better be in the slow lane. Still very strict in town/city limits which I'm cool with.
I took a backroad spin to Harrison today, and it really is very clear that B.C.'s "Safety-Crats" have dumbed down everything here. Actually a very frustrating ride. Hwy 7 at 80km/hr,,,,that road would for sure be 60 or 65 mph anywhere else, and no need to pass over double yellows as is the case to Harrison. Car drivers here seem asleep, or scared out of their witts. It's actually kind of sad.
