Well, as some of you may have noticed, have listed the mighty Wee-Strom for sale.
Given that I have owned 3 of them in a row, I guess it's natural that one would assume a 4th is in the horizon.
Decided to try something very different, and something I considered seriously before I bought my 1000 Strom, but decided against it, as I just did not want a real heavy bike.
Well, a couple years later, and a quick inventory of the riding I tend to get the most enjoyment from, which is long day rides, and some touring, I bit the bullet and am trying one out.....the FJR1300.
No more Pitt Meadows track days for me, on this beast anyway, maybe a Ninja 250 in the future, as I really do love that stuff.
I think CDG's Duffey Loop ride today, with the following disclaimer is what really fueled the purchase yesterday:
Ok, enough of the novel sized intro.....here it is, 2008, black, few goodies, Corbin, factory heated grips, Piaa driving lights, frame sliders, that's about it.
First impressions......fast and smooth......obviously a bit of a beast to move around by hand, but weight does seem to disappear once underway....I expect it will resurface on a very tight road like Baker, but hey, that's a couple times a season, so this should be fantastic for the majority of my riding.
Suspension is not nearly as nice as what I was used to on my upgraded Strom, but nothing a couple G won't fix......not this year though
