I was just looking at a facebook page for something called the Strathcona Chicane and when I mentioned riding my motorcycle through what sort of appears to be a bike route the page admin said the Chicane appears to be motorcycle friendly.
Now I have at times gone through areas that were designed to stop cars and allow bikes on my motorcycle and although there is no sign specifically saying bicycles are allowed and motorcycles are not I always assumed I was probably not allowed to do it.
I tried a quick search of the MVA but I thought somebody on here might be more up to speed on this.Maybe the laws vary from district to district and if so are they just bylaws or are they MVA offenses?
I always found it strange that we are told not to ride motorcycles on the shoulder as it is unsafe but it is ok for someone on a bicycle.
One final question while we are on the subject, what would be the ticket for riding on a sidewalk?and should a bicycle rider get the same ticket?
