I've been thinking of a roadtrip this summer. I've done shorter solo trips to Tofino but I was consdering something longer this year. Maybe setting foot on the Yukon Border, Alaska or interesting places south (away from the coast). While I really appreciate the solo trips and the ability to get inside one's own head and reflect on life etc, northern destinations might have sketchy road conditions and vast rural areas that would screw me if I had a flat or crashed off the side of the highway while alone.
Has anyboody considered this sort of thing before and want a ride safety buddy to go along with?
My career affords me a very flexible schedule between March-September and I could go most any time. The only thing is that I need to break my new bike in with another 1000 city km before I could embark on such a journey.
