Coles Notes: Something happened between a bike and a car, somehow the cyclist ended up exchanging words with the driver (hand on passenger window opening), driver grabbed cyclist, cyclist "escaped" but threw a bunch of the driver's shit on the ground while "escaping," driver got out and proceeded to (by all account) kick seven shades of shit out of said cyclist, hereby proving that for all the fitness peddled (get it?) by fixie freaks, they are not actually untouchable.
UPDATE: Latest reports indicate cyclist actually instigated violence by attempting to damage the motorists car and reaching into the car of his own free will in order to throw the driver's stuff on the ground. Police are not charging the driver nor the cyclist.
Take home lessons? Don't be a dick. Cars are bigger than bikes. The law of the jungle applies, urban or otherwise. Toms and tight pants may limit fighting ability. Vancouver media still sucks. Police not arresting people based on Facebook comments alone quite yet. Cyclists all over Vancouver are currently looking up the dictionary definition of "discrimination" while simultaneously trying to concoct hipster-friendly, suitably ironic graphic t-shirt design to make quick buck. Dodge reconsidering "Avenger" branding. Breeks and high socks finally making a centuries-delayed comeback?
