    Swapping F3 parts to a F4

Does anyone know if the chain from a 96' F3 will go on a 00 F4, also will the wheels swap over without problems? Thanks!

It's not likely. Most of the chains are getting longer with the new designs but if you can find out the link count for both models that will tell you. Or the countershaft to axle measurements for both bikes.

As for the wheel swap I doubt it again. First off the wheels are wider and I'm sure the swingarm will be wider too. Then there's the axle diameter that is quite possibly larger on the newer bike. And the chain line is probably not going to line up either.

But if you've still got both bikes then you can get out the rulers and measure all this up yourself.

Or if by any chance you have a complete F3 front end for sale I might just know someone with an F2 track bike that would like to upgrade their front end for better braking....
A backyard mechanic without a service manual is just like a hooker without a lamp pole.... they are both in the dark.
